Grand Tower: the glass and light symphony in the heart of Moscow

The Grand Tower is one of the tallest and most iconic skyscrapers in Moscow designed by Werner Sobek Bureau directed by the German architect and engineer Werner Zobek, not only attracts attention with its modern design but also demonstrates advanced glazing technology. This unique glass 283 meter giant represents architectural progress and innovation in construction.

The architectural appearance of the Grand Tower is characterized by a dynamic play of volumes and lines creating a sense of swiftness and power. The abundance of glass in the facade design not only forms its unique appearance but also provides maximum penetration of natural light into the rooms.

Grand Tower glazing is based on a structural insulated glass units X-ONE Security, which provide excellent heat and sound insulation. Multilayer construction, composed of glass of different thickness and properties, effectively reduces heat loss and creates a comfortable microclimate inside the building. Argon filling of the inter-glass space additionally strengthens energy efficiency. Insulated glass units reflect solar radiation that helps to reduce air-conditioning costs. Tempered glass guarantees high strength and resistance to external influences that is critical for high-rise construction. An additional protective layer increases safety and resistance to damage.

Due to the use of innovative glazing solutions, the Grand Tower not only impresses with its architectural appearance but also provides maximum comfort and safety for its occupants. This project is a vivid example of how modern technologies can be harmoniously integrated into architecture creating buildings that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

A modern 283-meter skyscraper is the first LEED Gold certified skyscraper in Russia. The large-scale project consists of two towers united by a common part. LEED - Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design - is a globally recognized certification program. Buildings certified at the Gold level stand out significantly in terms of energy efficiency. LEED real estate certification is a mandatory policy in many of the world's leading companies.

In addition, the edges of the short sides are painted to conceal the fastening systems.
